Pandora is on a Mission to Make Diamond Jewelry Accessible

Ahead of the holiday season, Pandora builds on its existing lab-grown diamond jewelry, debuting a trio of new collections that combine high-quality craftsmanship with environmentally-conscious design.

In an effort to “democratize” diamonds through ethical means, the latest jewelry pieces feature lab-grown stones with the same color, cut, clarity and carat as their mined counterparts, making them more affordable whilst also having a lower carbon footprint. Crafted using 100% renewable energy with 100% recycled silver and gold, Pandora presents three distinctive designs that shape the individual collections, named Nova, Era and Talisman.

Pandora Nova aims to showcase the unending sparkle of lab-grown diamonds. With each piece taking on a four-prong setting, the round and princess-cut stones are able to capture and refract surrounding light from each angle. This design is replicated in chains, studs and a 14 carat gold ring. Whilst Nova takes on a contemporary look, the Pandora Era collection subscribes to a classic feel featuring a minimalistic bezel setting. An understated array of single drop pendants as well as three-set stones arrive in a mix of 14 carat white gold and yellow gold.

Making a statement amongst the line-up is the Pandora Talisman collection. Comprised of five pendant designs – including a heart, star, moon and horseshoe – the respective pieces bring a luxurious take on Pandora charms with a touch of individuality running through each piece. The pendants come with matching chains or can be bought individually, allowing wearers to mix and match on bracelets or necklaces.

The new collection makes its debut in the brand’s latest campaign titled “Diamonds for All.” Exploring the way lab-grown diamonds break traditions through all-round wearability, the campaign sees Pamela Anderson, Justina Miles and other public figures share how these jewelry pieces bring elegance as well as

This 20-Carat Pink Diamond Could Sell At Auction For More Than $16 Million

Phillips’ inaugural Geneva jewelry auction includes a range of important diamonds, colored gemstones and vintage and contemporary signed jewels. Named “Geneva Jewels Auction: One,” the 110-lot sale will be held November 6 at the Hôtel La Réserve.

The top lot of the sale is a 20.19-carat fancy-intense-pink diamond with an estimate of CHF 10 million to CHF 15 million ($11 million to $16.5 million). The cut-cornered rectangular modified brilliant-cut, VVS1-clarity gem is the fourth-largest intense-pink diamond ever to appear at auction, Phillips said in a statement.

“We are seeing global demand for rare and captivating jewels, and our Geneva offering presents a meticulously curated selection,” Benoît Repellin, Phillips worldwide head of jewelry, said in the statement. “We eagerly anticipate showcasing these exceptional pieces as we continue our international highlights tour this month, leading up to the preview and auction in Geneva in November.”

Statement diamonds (both fancy colored and white diamonds) play an important role in the sale, and the No. 2 lot is a 54.27-carat, fancy-intense-yellow, internally flawless diamond with an estimate of CHF 1.2 million to CHF 1.6 million ($1.3 million to $1.8 million).

Other important fancy-colored diamonds include an oval, 1.52-carat, fancy-intense-purplish-pink, set on a platinum ring designed by British jewelry house Boodles. The shank of the ring is centered with a row of brilliant-cut diamonds. Its estimate is CHF 180,000 to CHF 270,000 ($200,000 to $300,000).

In addition, there’s a 24.07-carat, cut-cornered square modified brilliant-cut, fancy-deep-brownish yellow diamond. It’s the

The Incredibly True Story Of The First-Ever Diamond Engagement Ring

When Sotheby’s first announced the auction of a 24.78-carat fancy intense pink emerald-cut diamond with rounded corners, flanked by two shield-shaped white diamond side stones and set in platinum, in 2010, it was expected to sell for between $27 million to US $38 million.

Much to the auction house’s delight, the ring, which had previously been sold to its former owner by jeweler Harry Winston in the 1950s, sold to diamond dealer Laurence Graff for $46 million, making it “the most expensive single jewel ever sold at auction at the time.” Naturally, the lucky new owner named the magnificent beast the Graff Pink.

While we firmly believe that neither the size nor the price of an engagement ring has any bearing on the worth of a marriage proposal, the history of how we came to associate them with betrothals is undeniably fascinating.

Considering this got us thinking about some other interesting engagement rings and proposal stories, which, for better or for worse, have grabbed our attention in the past.

1. The first diamond engagement ring was given to Mary of Burgundy by Archduke Maximilian of Austria in 1477

Legend has it that in 1477, Archduke Maximilian of Austria — the future Holy Roman Emperor Maximilian I — was the first man to present his beloved, Mary of Burgundy, with a diamond engagement ring (apparently at the advice of his court counsel).

“Maximilian,” the story goes, “set off for Burgundy after arranging a proxy marriage. But he was an impoverished suitor, thanks to Austria’s penchant for war. So, it is said, as he

Adele shows off diamond ring amid rumours she’s married to boyfriend Rich Paul

Adele has been photographed wearing a diamond ring, just weeks after calling her boyfriend Rich Paul her “husband” on more than one occasion.

On Sunday 15 October, the Grammy winner took to Instagram to show off some photos from her Las Vegas residency. However, each photo in the carousel featured the singer wearing a large diamond ring – specifically on her ring finger.

“Weekend 31,” she captioned the social media post, in which she wore a Swarovski crystal-studded black velvet Cong Tri gown and accessorised with a massive emerald-cut sparkler and a pavé band.

One of the photos also showed Adele holding up a copy of Paul’s recently released memoir, titled Lucky Me. The photo expertly showcased the ring, while the bottom half of the singer’s face was covered.

Meghan Markle skips engagement ring second time amid concerns for Diana’s diamonds

Meghan Markle skips engagement ring second time amid concerns for Diana’s diamonds

Meghan Markle was spotted without the iconic jewellery piece during her appearance with Prince Harry in New York, five months after their alleged ‘catastrophic car chase’ incident.

While the Duchess of Sussex had been wearing a wedding band while addressing the audience on Tuesday for their mental health summit, she was notably missing her engagement ring.

Prince Harry had proposed to the former Suits actress in 2017 with a three-stone diamond ring. The ring’s design, which Harry designed himself, featured a big diamond that was sourced from Botswana along with two smaller diamonds from Princess Diana’s collection.

During the Invictus Games, last month, Meghan also chose to skip the ring and stick to her wedding band for the 8-day event in Düsseldorf, Germany.

With the ongoing speculation regarding why Meghan ditched the ring for the second time, Joanna Wyganowska Design expert and Gemologist at Queensmith told The Mirror of “very good reasons.”

Wyganowska shared that the ring, estimated to be upwards of $200,000, is “invaluable and extremely sentimental,” which means she may opt to avoid wearing it for “fear of damage or loss.”

She explained that it’s “very common” to get rings serviced or resized over the years.

“An engagement ring is something that may be worn every single day and therefore can become damaged for example a setting may come loose,” she said. “As Harry proposed to Meghan six years ago, it may very well be that she is simply getting the ring serviced.”

Previously, sources revealed that Prince William is “putting the word out through mutual friends that he wants to know what’s going on” with the ring as “not knowing where they are is disturbing” for him, per insiders for New Idea.

5 facts about the Vegas Golden Knights’ championship rings

Viva Las Vegas! The Vegas Golden Knights diamond-studded championship rings are here, and they are glorious.

Las Vegas, Nevada, is a city dripping in glitz, gold, and glamour. There’s nothing simple about the way Las Vegas does entertainment. Even their sports teams draw big-name celebrities as fans. Why should championship rings be any different?

The Golden Knights won their first NHL title in franchise history earlier this year, earning the league’s respect after a Game 5 win over the Florida Panthers during the Stanley Cup Finals.

Per Mike Brehm of USA TODAY, the 2023 Stanley Cup champions had rings made to commemorate the occasion.

Cover your eyes. It’s about to get bright.

Here are five facts and details about Vegas’ championship rings you don’t want to miss:

Jason Arasheben, CEO of Jason of Beverly Hills, is a well-known jeweler to sports teams. He created and designed championship rings before the Golden Knights, including the Golden State Warriors and Los Angeles Rams. His jewelry is unique and about as “iced out” and “drippy” as it gets.

According to the Golden Knights team site, Owner Ben Foley expressed his excitement to have Arasheben on the project:

“Knowing the track record of Jason of Beverly Hills, I was confident that they could create a ring as distinctive as our city and as spectacular as the season this team put together,” said Foley. “It’s clear they exceeded expectations and created a design I am sure our players, staff, and fans will cherish.”

Besides pure gold, the rings have 12 carats of white and yellow diamonds. Naturally, the yellow diamonds are used

The Best Tennis Jewelry To Sport This Season

All About Tennis Jewelry

Long before Kim Kardashian lost her diamond earring in the Bora Bora sea, former world No. 1 tennis champion Chris Evert lost a precious piece of tennis jewelry, her diamond bracelet, mid-match on the U.S. Open Court. She then refused to resume play until it was found (a completely justified response, if you ask us).

Knowing the history behind a key wardrobe piece, for style or for sentiment, is an important fashion lesson. For years, diamond tennis jewelry, like tennis bracelets, necklaces, earrings, and rings, were regarded as aspirational jewelry pieces that were largely unattainable to the everyday shopper — more country club accouterments than outright fashion-forward accessories. Though we can admit, we understand why the ladies who lunch were so attracted to traditional tennis-style jewelry. Besides the obvious appeal of dripping in diamonds, the simplicity of these designs makes the thin, singular strands of sparkles extremely wearable. Sure, tennis jewelry looks great when styled with a swoon-worthy black tie ensemble, but its versatility allows these pieces to pair just as effortlessly with dressed-down, everyday looks.

Lately, some of our favorite style icons have been sporting the tennis jewelry trend in a more casual way— and acing it. In the past few months alone, we’ve seen cool-mom Gigi Hadid, new-age-trendsetter Sofia Richie Grainge, and the quick-witted Morgan Stewart McGraw pair their tennis bracelets and diamond necklaces with everything from bikinis to blue jeans. Other celebrities have pushed the trend one step further, accessorizing with non-traditional tennis-style rings, earrings, and even belly chains.

Tennis jewelry, more so now than ever, is a category that’s easy to obsess over and one packed full of must-have, never-take-off pieces—those well-worth an ocean floor scour and a game-suspending search. Take it from Rihanna, Jennifer Lawrence, Hailey Bieber, Taylor Swift, and
