Saoirse Ronan may have a new role — fiancée!

The Irish actress, 29, sparked engagement rumors after stepping out with a diamond ring on her left hand at the Louis Vuitton Womenswear Spring-Summer 2024 show earlier in October. A rep for Ronan did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment.

She and actor Jack Lowden, who co-founded the production company Acade Pictures, have been quietly dating for a few years.

Back in 2018, Lowden, 33, spoke highly about working with Ronan for the filming of Mary Queen of Scots.

“It was remarkable working with Saoirse,” he said during a panel with AOL. “The woman is a force of nature on and off screen, and utterly fearless and a brilliant leader as well. For being 24 years old, it’s just constantly amazing to me, not just her work but how she is on a set is amazing. ”

He echoed the same sentiments while chatting with lowden-interview/” data-component=”link” data-source=”inlineLink” data-type=”externalLink” data-ordinal=”1″Esquire UK in February about their work as producers in an adaptation of Amy Liptrot’s memoir The Outrun.

“We finished shooting in October last year, but it was a great adventure. Saoirse is, first and foremost, one of the best actors in the world, so to work with her in that way and help in any way I could was great. It’s hopefully the first of many — it was wonderful,” Lowden said of Ronan, who also portrays Liptrot in the film.

The actor also described how he and Ronan have similar mindsets when it comes to the projects that they want to pursue.
